Without a doubt...we have become an electronic, visually stimulated, society. We are into out flat screen TVs...in the media room...in the bedroom...downstairs...heck, even out in the garage. We have desktop computers...laptop computers. We have cell phones that do almost anything that we need them to do.
The National Day of Unplugging is scheduled for tonight through tomorrow.
Now...this probably is a good idea. Let's unplug...and get outside and enjoy the weather. Let's read a book. Let's talk to our kids/parents. Let's take a walk. Let's go to the museum.
Let's unplug.
But THIS weekend is NCAA basketball. There are games on from Thursday through Sunday. My team's playin'.
I ain't unpluggin' nuthin'.
Maybe if my team loses. Then I'll go for a walk...and cry.
