We've all seen them. As I remember, my dad was one of them. The people who sit down at the table...and reach for the salt and pepper shakers...before they've taken that first bite. Just a habit they've picked up over a lifetime.
Sounds like we all still take in too much salt.
I've tried to break the salt habit. I rarely add salt to my food unless it's 'so bland' that I have to, to tolerate the taste. Pepper? Yes. I add pepper to much of my food, maybe to cut back on the salt use. So salt...yeah I'm doing better.
Now sugar...that's another thing.
