I have...for a long time...been someone who touches others...physically.
The risk I take...is that folks can think I might be 'the dirty old man', or trying to take advantage of someone. Not every person likes to be touched and I run the chance of offending.
But I think that most people...patients...friends...and family...enjoy the sincerity of someone giving them a hug...massaging tight shoulders...trying to make them feel better...trying to make their day, their world...just a little brighter.
Sometimes Cindy and I don't need to say a word to one another...it's just a look...or a touch...and that's all we need to exchange...and we know...we're okay.
